Born and raised in Halifax, Vaughn graduated from Hfx West High School and pursued theology studies in Rhode Island, USA, where he graduated at the top of his class as Valedictorian.

Vaughn brings a wealth of experience from his time as a REALTOR®️ in the 80s and 90s, working with RE/MAX, Clayton Developments in new construction, and HomeLife Pat King. His entrepreneurial spirit has led him to own several businesses, including a gallery of photo art, a hair salon, and a photo studio. He also served as the Associate Publisher of LOOP Magazine, a Lifestyles and Entertainment Magazine, in Vancouver, BC. For the past 12 years, Vaughn has been a licensed mortgage broker in Halifax.

Beyond his professional achievements, Vaughn is passionate about dog rescue and volunteering. He is part of a dedicated team that transports rescued dogs from Texas to new homes in Nova Scotia and volunteers as a dog walker at the Truro SPCA. In his spare time, Vaughn enjoys clearing his riverfront acreage near the Wentworth ski hill, where lots will be available next year. He also has a love for old British sports cars, having owned several MGBs, and has owned various real estate properties in Nova Scotia over the years.
