Originally from Palestine, Omar was born in Amman, Jordan, and spent nearly 32 years in Dubai. He brings with him a rich background in project management, with over 25 years of experience, including working on the Dubai International Airport Expansion Projects.

Omar moved to Nova Scotia in 2006, and since then, Bedford has been his home. He worked at Dalhousie University Facilities Management Capital Construction Department as a Senior Project Manager for 8 years and then moved on to work as the Branch Installation Manager at Johnson Controls for 6 years and then moved on to work for the provincial government in healthcare infrastructure.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Valparaiso University, Indiana, USA, and an MBA from St. Mary’s University Halifax. His impressive career highlights include managing the first LEED Gold project at Dalhousie University and in Atlantic Canada—the Mona Campbell Building. Omar is also a passionate entrepreneur, having owned and operated the Choco Cafe in downtown Halifax for six years, and currently running Roasted Coffee, which specializes in Turkish and Arabic coffee. As a loving father of four and a dedicated husband, Omar brings both his professional expertise and personal warmth to the RE/MAX NOVA team.
